DOCUMENTARY ENGAGEMENT SESSION AT FORT FUNSTON SF | WHITNEY + ALEX
When discussing the details of our engagement shoot, Whitney mentioned how she and Alex first realized they were more than friends when they would take their dogs to Fort Funston together to run around. So of course, we chose Fort Funston in San Francisco as our shoot location, and brought both their pups Darla and Suzie. We walked along the trail they normally hike, stopped for a drink break to enjoy the view, and ran around the beach as the sun set. For two self proclaimed awkward people, there were only one or two photos where they “didn’t know what to do with their hands.”
I have the privilege of shooting their wedding next summer at a sort of summer camp for adults with a river running through it, truly cannot wait. I love getting to shoot engagement sessions with my clients before their wedding day—it gets them comfy in front of the camera, and we get to spend some time getting to know each other so we’re not shaking hands for the first time the day of their wedding.
