When I first chatted with Stephanie and Tyler they knew they wanted to do an at home session for their engagement shoot, as they are about to move but this is the home they lived in together when they got engaged. As we started brainstorming ideas for what we could do in their space, we immediately fell in love with the idea of making pasta from scratch in the kitchen—something they would do together on a cozy Sunday night at home. Playing music together is a big part of their relationship, so we spent some time in the living room playing and singing songs they wrote together. And of course we had to include their dog, Sunny. I love the intimacy of at home sessions, especially when it’s not a “forever” home—being able to capture a space that a couple spent time in together before moving on to a next stage in life feels so magical.
