OUTDOORS TOMALES BAY ELOPEMENT SHOT ON FILM + DIGITAL | EMILY & BEN

Emily and Ben held a super sweet and intimate elopement in Tomales Bay with just their immediate family present. They rented out the Straus Home Ranch, where they were able to all stay and host their ceremony in a beautiful field overlooking the ocean. I met them in the afternoon for a few getting ready photos, followed by a first look with just Emily and Ben. We went up the hill to the ceremony site to have private vows between just Ben and Emily, before their family joined for their full ceremony. Afterwards we went back down the hill to the house for a beautiful dinner by Anaviv, and the three of us snuck down to the water for some portraits at sunset.

I mostly shot their elopement with a documentary approach, capturing the day as it unfolded. But I took an editorial meets documentary approach with their portraits—posing and guiding them while letting their relationship to each other shine through. We also shot two rolls of film alongside digital!

Emily and Ben’s elopement was such a perfect example of creating a celebration that is unique and special to you. They spent a long weekend at the Straus ranch with their family, but also held private vows just the two of them so they could share that moment with just themselves.

I’d love to hear about and help plan a day that feels good to you and celebrates your relationship. You can see my starting rates here and reach out to chat more!
