Sara and Aaron chose to embrace the simplicity and beauty of their love by eloping at the stunning San Francisco City Hall, surrounded by their closest family members. Later that evening, they extended their celebration with a larger dinner party on the water at Trader Vic’s in Oakland.

They invited me to be part of their day, tasked with capturing every heartfelt moment on both film and digital. In addition to documenting their City Hall ceremony, we snuck off to the redwoods for a series of intimate couples portraits before the party started.

I love capturing my couples on film–it forces us to slow down and stay present in the moment. In a world where everything seems perfect, I love that the nature of film comes with some imperfections.
