SAN FRANCISCO CITY HALL ELOPEMENT | KRISTIN + JOHN
Kristin and John had a classic 2020 wedding cancellation story, that overtime resulted in them moving from San Francisco to the East Coast, buying a house, and having a kid before officially tying the knot. They were out visiting family and friends in the Bay Area this summer and decided it was time to make it official (at least legally, as they still want to have a big ole celebration). They reached out asking me to keep things hush hush as they weren’t even going to tell their parents beforehand—just a sneaky private moment for the two of them to share together.
They eloped just the two of them at San Francisco City Hall, where we spent some time taking portraits after their quick ceremony. Afterwards we headed to Golden Gate Park near where they used to live, and walked along a path they would often walk their dog Norman. And we ended at Kezar’s, a an Irish pup that they frequented together during their time in San Francisco. In fact, they celebrated many big moments at Kezar’s, including Kristin’s 30th, and celebrating their engagement. It was only fitting for them to celebrate there with beers and wings, as they had done so many times in the past.
I love when couples bring such personal elements of their relationship into their wedding day. If you’re looking to elope and have dinner or drinks at your favorite bar afterwards, or your version of this (picnic on the beach? hike on Mt Tam for sunset?) I’d love to document it for you. You can contact me here and we can scheme your perfect day together,
