Classic documentary family photo chaos with Lesley, Pos, and Desi at Ocean Beach in San Francisco. Pos had a lifelong dream of making a human pyramid of at least three people, which we successfully created and captured, almost giving me a heart attack in the process (I rolled over in fear-exhaustion after and am pretty sure I still have sand in my hair). Lesley and Pos are my dear friends, and I’ve had the opportunity to shoot their family three years in a row, as Desi has gotten bigger, which is always so special and fun.
I love shooting families in a documentary style because it really creates a snapshot of how your family was at this moment in time—which will be so special to look back on ten years from now.
